Once again, I have the great honour to be among the chosen few designers, published in this months edition (11.20) of the world famous and oldest Graphic Design magazine – Novum – World of Graphic Design. I’m both extremely humbled and delighted to be featured with one of my latest projects, the branding and packaging design for Nimboo, a young company which specialised in Guayusa tea. You can read the full article by clicking the button below. Once again, did the magazine’s previous editor in Chief – Bettina Schulz – manage to knock me off my feet with this insanely great article about my work. Thank you so much!
I hope you’ll enjoy the article. Stay safe everyone!
Yours truly – Denis Widmann

Among 400 entries from over 22 countries, my entry of the luxurious brass menus I’ve designed and crafted for Herzog Muc was chosen by a jury of selected industry professionals and Gmund Paper staff, to be among the best entries.
I can therefore proudly announce, that I am officially nominated for the Gmund Award 2019 with this great piece I hold so dear. Finger’s crossed, it wins the award. It would be a great honour! The award ceremony takes place on the 23rd of October 2019 in Gmund am Tegernsee in Bavaria. I will keep you posted on my Instagram Story and on here and naturally, you’ll be the first to know if I was lucky enough to take home this prestigious price. Stay tuned. 😉

Gmund Unfolded Festival
In November I’ve been in Gmund at the fantastic Gmund Unfolded paper festival, were Bavarian fine paper manufacturer Gmund and a few internationally selected companies skilfully showcased the new inventions and possibilities of paper, print and print finishing. Beside the obvious aspect of networking, the festival’s other great highlight was the Gmund Award as well as some truly magnificent keynote speeches by Serviceplan, Ziebert + Friends and more. I have brought the latest and greatest paper and finishing samples back to the studio for you, to ensure that you get the latest and greatest trends and material.
Below you’ll find a few impressions of the festival. Stay tuned to see a few of these inventions in some of my future projects. Stay tuned, it’s worth it!
